I’m Calista, a self-taught artist inspired by little moments that make life feel beautiful and special. I am drawn to fashion, flavors, memories, femininity, and nostalgia. I try to capture these feelings with my art by turning familiar moments into colorful, vibrant, almost dreamy paintings. I enjoy working with all mediums, but my favorite is oil paint because of the atmosphere I can create with the different colors and textures.

My surroundings are a very important part of my creative process. My home is an extension of my art, interior design is another big creative outlet for me. I’m inspired by my lifestyle, the colors, objects, and patterns around me. I don’t believe art should be limited to a canvas. I often find myself painting furniture, customizing frames for my art, painting walls and even clothing. I love objects and spaces that are curated, and tell a story. When I’m not painting, I’m usually hunting down my next vintage fashion or furniture piece to bring into my space. 

Art is a natural form of self expression for me. I create and collect inspiration from experiences and the world around me, and I’m always looking for ways to add more beauty to life. My goal is to create nostalgic, feminine art that feels familiar, but also leaves room for others to find their own story.
